Why send your child to us?
Martial arts schools are everywhere! For someone who is thinking about starting martial arts it is fantastic to have so many choices. Choosing a karate school is a serious decision. While it might be easier and more convenient to simply go to the school that is closest to where you live, that may not be the best school for you or your child. It may be a fine martial arts academy, but it may not provide you with the experience that you require. We realize how many schools are out there and when someone enrolls in our academy, we are honored because we know that they could have gone to many other places.
The study of karate at our school will make your child feel better, become a more well rounded person in life, and in relationships. Karate can also help your child become more mature while increasing his/her self esteem and confidence.
We do not charge testing fees, renewal fees or registration fees.
All of our children's classes are taught by Sensei Raffi and Susan Derderian.
Imagine Your Child as a Black Belt!!
Think of what your child could accomplish in life if he or she developed the determination and discipline to become a Karate Black Belt! What would they do with the confidence they earned along the way? What would they do with the strength? Do you think it would give them the courage to say no to drugs? Would it give them the confidence to help them succeed at school? How about the strength to stand up to a bully or better yet, to know when to walk away from a bully?
The answer to all of these questions is
YES!
The real value of Karate is not the development of flashy physical skills, but in the creation of a whole new, better YOU! Our academy puts all of our skills and attention into helping our students grow to their fullest potential. Karate provides children with the finest of role models: Karate Instructors. Who are the role models today for children outside of their family? Unfortunately, the media makes heroes out of the worst role models in society. Some examples are athletes and entertainers who expect constant adulation, endless money and live by a different set of laws. Are these the people you want your child to look up to? The celebrities who are on the news for drug use? The athlete who gets arrested for beating up his spouse? Of course you don’t. Of course there are many people in athletics and entertainment who are fine examples of a role model. However, they do not always get on television or in the newspaper for this. Karate instructors play a significant part in the development of children’s ideas about life. They are a positive role model. Parents tell us over and over again what a positive difference martial arts have made in their child’s life. You may find out that Karate is just what you’ve been looking for, whether it is for you or your child.
